BE’ER SHEVA, ISRAEL — 44 women took the turf in the sweltering heat of the Negev desert last week, vying for a roster spot on the Israel national team which will compete in the 2017 FIL Rathbones Women's Lacrosse World Cup in London, England next summer.

13 players took home a piece of hardware in a cermony at the IPLL Championship Game in Tel Aviv last week, including Be'er Sheva midfielder Ian Kadish, who was named EL AL League MVP.

Kadish led the IPLL in both goals (27) and points (30), including a five-goal performance in Wednesday's 11-10 overtime win at the Championship Game.
