NETANYA, ISRAEL — Maccabi USA dominated Great Britain to earn Gold Medals at the first-ever lacrosse competition at the Maccabiah Games, rolling to a 19-2 win in Tuesday’s final at Shapira Field.
The United States took an early 5-0 lead and never looked back en route to securing the Championship.
The Americans won their three games by a combined score of 51-8.
Ariella Lerner scored five goals and one assist, while Rachel White and Jori Balsam each added three goals in the final.

Great Britain can hold their heads high after securing Silver Medals. GB defeated Israel more decisively than last week’s barnburner, grabbing a 4-0 lead en route to a 10-4 win in Monday’s semifinal at Shapira. Georgia Koopman scored four goals and one assist to lead Great Britain.
Batel Elkalay (two goals, one assist) led the blue-and-white in the game and for the week with a total of seven goals and two assists. Israel was awarded Bronze Medals in their first-ever Maccabiah Games.
