Tryout dates set for Israel Men’s World Team

NETANYA, ISRAEL — The Israel Lacrosse Association has announced tryout dates for the Israel Men’s National Team which will compete at the 2018 FIL Men’s World Championships.

The invite-only tryouts will take place from July 17-19, 2017, at Tubruq Field in Netanya, Israel.

The 2018 FIL World Championships mark the second time Israel has competed in the event — the blue-and-white finished 7th at the 2014 World Championships in Denver, Colorado.

Israel’s roster will be composed of both Israeli players, as well as members of the Jewish diaspora, in accordance with the rules and regulations of the Federation of International Lacrosse (FIL).

All players who are new to the program are required to play at least one season in the Israel Premier Lacrosse League in order to qualify. Athletes living abroad who are competing in the tryout are also encouraged to participate in Lacrosse Birthright or couple their trip with an internship with the Israel Lacrosse Association.
