Sderot tops Ashkelon for third straight win

ASHKELON, ISRAEL — Max Satossky and Jacob Silberlicht each scored four goals and one assist to lead Sderot LC past Ashkelon LC, 11-9, at New Municipal Stadium on Monday morning.

Ashkelon held an 8-7 lead after three quarters, but Sderot outscored their neighbors 4-1 in the fourth quarter to earn their third straight win.

Max Kaufman (three assists), Matthew Flapan (two goals) and Valentin Gruber (one goal, one assist) also cracked the scoresheet for the expansion Sderot club, who are eyeing the Final Four with a 3-1 record.

Max Yavitt (60:00, 13 saves, 9 GA) earned the win in goal.

Bryan Rotarori led Ashkelon (2-2) with five goals and an assist, while Ben Gleichenhaus (60:00, 16 saves, 11 GA) played well between the pipes. The Fighting Aleph’s meet Haifa (3-1) on Thursday with a game that has heavy playoff implications.
