Israel Lacrosse has announced a 23-player roster for their entry in the 2016 World Series of Youth Lacrosse, held July 1-4, 2016 at Dick’s Sporting Goods Park in Denver, Colorado.
Several age-eligible athletes from the Ashkelon Cats youth teams will travel to Denver to represent Israel and the city of Ashkelon in the World Series. The roster was filled out with Jewish-American players who were invited to join the squad following a set of tryouts held in the United States.
All US-based players selected to compete are considered eligible for Israeli citizenship per Israel’s Law of Return, and are committed to the development of the sport in the Jewish State by their efforts to participate in equipment drives and a future service trip to Israel to grow the game.
