Haifa LC’s Noah Miller was named STX Offensive Player of the Week and Kiryat Gat LC’s Dan Kaufman was named Bank Hapoalim Defensive Player of the Week after impressive performances during the third week of the IPLL season.
Miller scored six goals and one assist in Haifa’s dominant 16-4 win at Barak Netanya LC, which secured the second overall seed in the IPLL Playoffs and a first-round bye.
“Noah jumped into the starting lineup with incredible production filling up the net for us,” said Haifa LC head coach Jeff Schwartz. “He’s been a spark plug for our offense and we hope he can keep it going.”
Kaufman made 31 saves and allowed just 11 goals in two games for Kiryat Gat LC, leading the previously winless team to a Quarterfinal upset victory over Ashdod LC. His goals against average on the week was 5.5, and his save percentage was an astonishing 73.8%.
“Dan was outstanding in goal this week,” said Kiryat Gat LC head coach Ivan Cohen. “He has been great all season and this week he absolutely kept our team in the game.”
Haifa and Kiryat Gat meet in the IPLL Semifinals on Sunday night at 8pm local / 1pm ET. The game is being held at Kiryat Gat Synthetic.
