Haifa bests Tel Aviv, starts season 2-0

NETANYA, ISRAEL – After a quick barrage of scoring, Haifa LC pulled ahead in the second half to finish the second game of the season 9-4.

Nate Archer was named EL AL Player of the Game with two goals and four assists. His quick feet and great defense helped capture the win for Haifa.

Justin Diamond netted a season-high five goals with sensational play at forward, while goalkeeper Ted Bergman stifled Tel Aviv with 12 saves.

Tel Aviv’s Matt Flapan lead his team in scoring with two goals and an assist. Andrew Copeland had nine saves in goal.

Haifa (2-0) meets Barak Netanya LC (2-0) back at Shapira Field in a battle for first place.  Tel Aviv (0-2) is hosted by Ashkelon (0-2) on Monday night at New Municipal Stadium.
