Ashkelon rolls past Kiryat Gat, 11-6

ASHKELON, ISRAEL — Ashkelon LC continued their winning ways with an 11-6 win over Kiryat Gat LC on Monday at New Municipal Stadium.

Benjamin Lassow earned EL AL Player of the Game honors with four goals, while Drew Saltzman also had a big day with three goals and one assist.

Ashkelon jumped out to an early lead but Kiryat Gat (0-3) kept the game close with a four-goal surge in the second half. However, it wasn’t enough to overcome Ashkelon’s dominant play.

Gabriel Gross (60:00, 7 saves, 6 GA) earned the win in goal for Ashkelon.

Mitch Turley led Kiryat Gat with four goals, while Philip Werfs (60:00, 13 saves, 11 GA) was dealt the loss between the pipes.

Ashkelon is back in action on Thursday against Haifa LC at 6:30 PM, while Kiryat Gat looks for their first win at 8:00 PM on their home turf on Thursday against Barak Netanya LC. Both games are held at Kiryat Gat Synthetic as part of the Kiryat Gat Lacrosse Festival.
