Drew Morris

Drew has been involved in the sport of lacrosse for 20 years. He played Division 1 lacrosse and won a national championship at the University of Maryland.

His journey with Israel Lacrosse began when his brother, who came on Birthright and participated in a Baltimore/Ashkelon partnership event, convinced him to join the lacrosse Birthright trip in the summer of 2021. That same summer, right after his Birthright trip, Drew had the opportunity to coach Team Israel in the World Series of Youth Lacrosse, continuing to coach again in 2022. He also chaperoned our Summer Service Trip in 2022, Winter Service Trip in 2022, and the Summer College Session in 2023.

Drew made Aliyah to Ashkelon in November 2022 and has been deeply involved in Israel Lacrosse at all levels since then. He played for the Men’s National Team in San Diego in 2023 and is the Men’s U20 Head Coach. He is also the Director of Varsity Lacrosse in Israel, working on recruiting new players, coaching existing youth and varsity players, and high-performance training to prepare athletes for U20 national teams.

What Drew loves most about Israel Lacrosse is sharing his passion for the sport with Israeli youth as they pick up a stick for the first time and bringing Jewish lacrosse players from around the world together to experience a true sense of belonging.
