NETANYA, ISRAEL — The Israel men’s national lacrosse team will visit the Northeast US in October to scrimmage some of the world’s top-ranked international, college and club teams on a tour to promote the 2018 FIL World Lacrosse Championships (www.worldlacrosse2018.com) which will be held in Israel next July.
The fall schedule, which will also be utilized to evaluate athletes in Israel’s player pool and develop some of the blue-and-white’s future star players, is highlighted by international scrimmages against Team USA and the Iroquois Nationals, who are ranked #2 and #3 in the world, respectively, as well as an ambitious schedule of NCAA opposition which includes top-10 programs such as Towson and Syracuse. The Israelis are winless in their nine previous exhibitions against American college teams.
The 2017 exhibitions will be played under various different rule sets (NCAA vs. International) and in some cases will feature shortened timings.
