ASHKELON, ISRAEL — Ted Bergman can do it all for the Haifa Lacrosse Club (4-0).
Bergman, who made 17 saves in goal on Tuesday night, followed it up with an 11-save performance against Ashkelon LC on Thursday. He also helped his cause by adding one goal and one assist for the first-place club, which was shorthanded with only 11 players.
His performance earned Bergman EL AL Player of the Game honors for the second time this week, while Justin Diamond scored twice; he currently leads the league in goals (14) and points (18).
Seth Mahler scored twice to lead Ashkelon, while goaltender Yuri Elonen had a remarkable 19 saves in the loss.
Haifa will faceoff against Barak Netanya LC (2-2) on Monday night at Shapira Field. Ashkelon hosts Tel Aviv LC (1-3) on Sunday night.
