Ashkelon roster, schedule announced for ISB tournament

ASHKELON, ISRAEL — Ashkelon LC will be representing Israel in the 14th annual ISB Youth Lacrosse tournament in Brussels, Belgium this weekend.

The “Fighting Alephs” will bring a young squad for the event, in which they’ll see pool play action in the B-pool against teams with mostly younger squads from Belgium (Braine Lions and ISB JV), Czech Republic (Jizni Mesto) and Germany (Frankfurt 1880 LC). The winner of the group will be awarded a Cup trophy while the top two finishers will have the opportunity to compete in the Championship semifinals.

Competing in the tournament in the opposite fixture, featuring rosters that are mostly U-18 and U-19, are clubs from Belgium (All-Stars and Brussels Raiders), Germany (Hamburg Warriors and Stuttgart LC), and England (The American School).

The tournament is the largest international youth lacrosse event in Europe.
