Ashkelon LC adds Cohen to staff

ASHKELON, ISRAEL — Scott Cohen’s summer just got a little busier.

Ashkelon LC named Cohen an Associate Head Coach for the club’s inaugural campaign in the Israel Premier Lacrosse League today.

Cohen, who will be paired with Head Coach Howard Offit to lead the Ashkelon club, is also serving as an assistant coach for the Israel women’s national team whichs will be competing in both the European Championships, as well as the U-19 International Lacrosse Festival.

He previously played collegiately at Western New England University. Known for his intensity, Cohen has a plethora of experience coaching womens and girls lacrosse, but views coaching in the IPLL alongside Offit as a great opportunity to expand his knowledge of the game.

Ashkelon will host the IPLL All-Star Game, when the Israel men’s national team faces off against the Birthright/USA All-Stars on June 28th at Ashkelon New Municipal Stadium. Ashkelon LC opens their regular season slate against Haifa LC on July 6th in a neutral-site game in Ashdod.
