Howie grew up on Long Island but was not formally introduced to lacrosse until he arrived at Cornell University where he developed a lifelong friendship with the late Lacrosse legend Richie Moran. Since 1977 Borkan has been involved in all aspects of lacrosse and has served in numerous capacities including Chairman of the US Men’s National Program for 12 + years. One of the founders of lacrosse in Israel, Howie has been involved in all facets of growing our organization to its platform today.
