Ariel Gini is one of Israel Lacrosse’s younger veteran Israeli-born members, being the second player to join Herzliya LC. In 2020, as a high school junior, Ariel began coaching for Herzliya LC. As a coach, he took steps to make lacrosse accessible to the youth of Herzliya, which has since grown to over 100 members. Ariel has served as the Varsity Head Coach of Herzliya LC since 2021, recruiting and coaching multiple athletes who are now active members of both the women’s and men’s national teams.
Since 2022, Ariel has represented Israel in two international tournaments, including the Men’s U-21 World Championships and the recent U-20 European Championship, where he was named team captain. In 2024, he made his international coaching debut as the Assistant Coach of the U-21 Women’s National Team at the World Championships in Kowloon, Hong Kong.
From 2022 to 2024, Ariel was granted the status of an Active Athlete in the IDF, allowing him to continue developing lacrosse in Israel and competing internationally while serving in the Israel Defense Force.
Ariel’s dedication has significantly increased lacrosse’s popularity in Israel. His passion for the sport and commitment to building a strong lacrosse community have made him a standout leader in the country’s lacrosse scene. Ariel continues to inspire both players and coaches as he works to elevate the sport to new heights in Israel.
